About Us

Moja Upendo – One Love Non-Profit Housing Cooperative Inc. (MUOL) is a community-rooted organization committed to building inclusive, sustainable housing where everyone belongs. “Moja Upendo” means “One Love,” a name that reflects our belief in unity, dignity, and shared responsibility.

The cooperative began in June 2024, when four individuals came together with a shared vision: to use the co-op model as a tool for social impact and personal and collective growth. Recognizing that such a vision required collaboration, they reached out to friends and family who shared their commitment to affordable housing and community empowerment.

By August 2024, the founding group expanded to nine members and officially incorporated MUOL. Since then, our cooperative has grown to include fourteen dedicated board members, supported by a network of trusted advisors and Friends of MUOL—individuals we can call on for insight, encouragement, and action.

Together, we are not just building housing—we’re building a legacy. Through The Art of Connection, Moving Beyond the Obstacle, and tapping into Collaboration Magic, MUOL is unlocking growth, celebrating Teamwork Triumphs, and embracing our Adaptive Advantage as we shape a future rooted in equity and belonging.
